Hi all. Quick question here. Ive been trying to back up my 16GB iPhone 3G (black if it makes a difference) after installing 3.0 software, but no success yet. Ive left it for over 4 hours and it seems to be stuck at the half way point. I even deleted all of my photos on the camera, and all of my music from my phone.
Any suggestions?

do you have little snitch running (or another mac firewall gui)?
try disabling it then quit and relaunch itunes and then see if it works better/faster
just a suggestion hope you get it working.

I am having the same problem, however, its not taking me as long you. Still long though. i tried turning off my Norton Firewall as suggested on one of the posts but it made no difference unfortunately. Still trying to figure it out.

it was worth a try... there is defiantly something going on with tunes 8.2 just not very consistent...
hang in there someone may come along with a working suggestion!

I had the same problem until I removed the ESPN Scorecard app and that fixed it. I have also heard that the Facebook app causes backup hangs too. That may be your problem if you have either of those apps.
