about a week ago. I have tried resetting the network settings and rebooting but my iPhone will not pick up any WiFi signals. Interestingly my 32 GB iPod Touch (first version) picks up the WiFi signals fine.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so is there an easy solution?
Thanks
Ken

If the standard troubleshooting procedures do not resolve it - powering the iPhone off and on, an iPhone reset, restoring the iPhone with iTunes from the backup, restoring with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup, and resetting all network settings, there is probably a hardware problem with your iPhone.
The iPhone includes a one year warranty. You can call AppleCare at (800) 694-7466 to handle everything over the phone, or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

Call Apple. I have had two phones replaced so far for this issue alone. They will replace it after verifying that you have tried the steps you mentioned. If you are worried about what you will get in return. Dont. All the replacements I have received for various issues have been flawless. Mail in will cost you 29 bones, Apple store will cost you gas and time.

Ive just had the same problem.
I upgraded to 3.0 a few weeks back with no problems, and Ive not added any new apps in a few days. My wifi always worked great and 2 nights ago i simply went off in an area of the house where it normally works great.
I tried eveything, Settings, looking manually for other network. It would simply not see anything.
I checked all other devices in the house (airport extreme also, of course) and all are fine.
I was worried the HW was dead on the iPhone.
I reset and let it sit overnight.
Next day wifi came on no problem and I breathed easy again.
But it died again midday and Im now stuck again.

Turns out the wifi antenna was dead - as I suspected per this thread.
Apple swapped my phone for a factory refurbished version.
As asked about upgrading to a 3GS, for which I would pay the difference, and they turned down my money. Not sure why, but Im guessing their cost of managing the trades offsets the profit. Seem hard to believe. Its certainly not consumer friendly (or at least I didnt like it).
But as usual, this forum is very helpful. So I just wanted to post the closure so others can benefit as well.
Best,
Veloswimmer.

I recently had a virus on my computer so I had to clean up everything and put my computer back to factory settings. Before I did that I saved my big folder of music I had on my computer that I used on my Itunes. So I still have my Music but obviously I just downloaded Itunes and there is no music on there. How do I get it so the Itunes syncs from my Iphone itself? I have a ton of applications, pictures, contacts, and music on my Iphone that I do not want to lose because I had to clean out my computer. How do I get it so when it syncs it will sync from the Iphone and make my Itunes go back to the way it was. FOr example I want all my playlists back on Itunes, my Videos I had on my Itunes and my Iphone, my contacts that I synced with outlook etc. Basically my main problem is all my data is on my Iphone, but not my Itunes anymore. How can I fix this? Thanks!

The iphone music sync is one way - computer to iphone.
You should back up your itunes folder so you can put it back the way it was.
Your contacts should be fine.

If you saved your iTunes named folder to your backup, which stored all iTunes data - music, album artwork, playlists, play count, videos, podcasts, and 3rd party apps. You place the iTunes named folder in the same location with iTunes quit before doing so. I believe the default location for the iTunes named folder with Windows is in your Music folder which is located in the Documents folder.
Photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone is a one way transfer process only. Any photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone should have been included with your computers backup also and can be restored from your backup.
If you didnt backup your Outlook data on your computer, before syncing contacts with Outlook if empty - if doesnt include any contacts or calendar events, enter one unique contact in the address book, and one unique calendar event in the calendar with Outlook - make the contact and calendar event up if needed, which can be deleted later. This will provide a merge prompt when syncing contacts and calendar events with Outlook, which you want to select.

Are you able to play the music in iTunes?
Go to iTunes > Preferences under the Advanced tab.
Do you have keep iTunes Music Folder organized or copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library selected?

Did you check your phone and see if the songs are on there or not? I get the same message with a couple of songs when I sync my phone, but the songs are on my phone and they do play.

Pennsylvania based AppAnnex today announced the release of AmpliVision for all camera equipped iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. AmpliVision is a simple app created to help users light up and zoom in on anything they want to get a clearer look at. The app lets users turn their device's camera into a magnifying lens, allow them to pause their views and zoom inwards to read small text, and even utilize their flash into a bright LED light to brighten up whatever they're reading or looking at.
