As Apple promised in early October, the company has posted an updated Software Developer Kit (iPhone SDK) Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) which allows iPhone application developers to more openly discuss their development plans. In order to facilitate such discussion, Apple has also opened a forum especially for iPhone developers.

I noticed the other day on the app store a software that would manage unwanted calls. example send them directly to voice mail or answer and hang up on them based off your contact list. Now that I am in a place to download the software I can not find it. Does anyone know what this application is called?

The only such app I can find is Mcleaner, and that requires a jailbroken iPhone; its not available through the App Store.

It would be nice if AT&T would create an MMS application. I guess we should all start sending the requests for MMS to AT&T instead of Apple, looks like it worked for Sweden.

thats good. because i rather send it via MMS. so who is right/wrong? Im willing to bet more people WANT MMS then DONT want it. and i would supposed a lot of people dont care. But just because YOU dont need/want it doesnt mean millions of other people dont.

I know that email is the superior of the two formats, I think we all know that. I prefer sending pics with email myself, and in a perfect world where everyone we all know has an iphone we would all send and receive pics via email. However I can count on one hand the people I know with iphones. I just want an application that will allow me to view the pics the other people who have inferior phones send me. Logging onto that laim att website to see the pics they send is rediculous. The arguement that email is better so we should forget about MMS is like saying XM is better so we shouldnt include terrestrial radios in new automobiles.

My ringer has gone silent, even though the ringer mute switch is turned off. In addition, I cannot hear anything when I attempt to play my voice mail. The volume is set as high as it can go.
I think this explains the problems I was having with playing back my voice mail messages.

Press volume up.
Does it say HEADPHONES and not Ringer?
If so, it thinks the headphones are in (thus all sound is being sent to the jack)
Plug in and out your headphones until the volume indicator says Ringer when the headphones are not in.

In the visual voice mail page, it says Speaker in the top right corner. If I hit the upper side of the volume rocker, it says ringer, and it shows the volume at full.
I reset my phone (held the sleep button on the top right and the round home button on the lower front until the Apple icon came up.
This time, the ringer rang when I dialed my iPhone, plus I got the voicemail twiddle. AND, my voice mails now play again.
It appears that their is a software problem that causes sound from the speaker on my iPhone to fail after a time?

I have the same problem, but turning it off wont fix it. Strange has the ringer works in the car when paired with bluetooth.
Any help appreciated.

Do you have any Apps loaded to your iPhone?
Which ones do you use?

I really dont want to go to the Apple store to have to get another Iphone, primarily because I am not sure if they are still giving new ones out or refurbished one. Either way, recently my phone began doing something that it never had done before.
It will be fully charged, so the battery is not an issue, and I will go and pick it up and press the home button and it wont turn on. Press the on/off button, and it still wont turn on. It simply doesnt want to turn on. The only way that I can get it to work is by plugging it in to the power cord.
Has anyone experienced this? I have an appointment for tomorrow, but I dont know if I should go or not. Thanks

I have no idea.
The warranty states that an exchange under warranty will be a new or refurbished iPhone with no way to tell any difference between the two, and which you have no control over regardless what you want.
It is either that or live with the problem if it cant be resolved by any other means.

There have been a few posts mentioning similar issues.
In some cases it was related to a faulty charge indicator, and simply letting the phone discharge all the way till it powers off by itself, then a full recharge fixed it.
It would be worth a try.
Last time I visited the Apple store for a replacement the Genius said they have not been getting refurbs for the last few months, they were all new phones, and from the Manufacture Week Number in the replacement, I tend to believe him.
He said you cant tell a refurb from a new one. I asked how he could tell. He looked at me and winked, and would say no more.
