Looking for a good case - not leather that has a belt clip where you dont have to remove the phone from the case to us it. Something with a snap or quick release from the belt clip. Any ideas??

Youll have to wait for the release to see a synopsis. Apple generally doesnt list everything in an update just the major things.

The only thing SJ mentioned was the Proximity sensor fix (to some, not everyone is effected by the PS issue, and I clearly dont have PS issue on mine), and the Bluetooth fix (again not everyone is effected by this but some are, again I dont have this bluetooth isue). Game center will be added and the HDR. Thats all he had mentioned.

hmmm thatll be the shorter list, as opposed to the list of bugs claimed to be fixed yet still outstanding as issues.
Lets start with the Proximity Sensor which Steve Jobs yesterday claimed was fixed and yet clearly isnt fixed by iOS 4.1gm.

Guys,
I have windows 7 x64. My wifes 3G just wont get recognized by itunes 9. I have opened a ticket with Apple where they made me uninstall and install itunes like 4 times already, had me do a bunch of stuff but nothing has worked.
I finally installed itunes on a XP machine and it was able to sync fine but I have no idea what the issue is on the Windows 7 machine that wont let itunes recognize my phone. itunes works fine with my 4G but whenever i connect the 3G itunes just freezes up for a while and then nothing.
I do hear the connection sound when i connect the phone which tells me Windows recognizes the 3G being connected but itunes does not.
If anyone knows a fix for this, it would be very appreciated!
thanks,
Ken

Im going from California to Singapore this weekend (unexpected trip). Will my phone just work? Should I stay off the internet, etc. Dont want to incur a bunch of charges.
Thanks for any suggestions / help. Ive used it as far away as Canada and thats it.

That depends upon what you define as work. Do you want to make & receive calls, SMS? Or, do you want to just use data? You can put the phone in airplane mode, go back into settings & turn WiFi back on. As long as youre using a free WiFi hotspot, you wont incur any charges. If you want to make & receive calls, etc., you need to pick an international roaming package from AT&T BEFORE you leave & have international provisioning activated for your account. That needs to be done BEFORE you leave. You can sign into your account online & do such.

I have heard of the otter box case being the best, but I went to AT&T two weeks ago to get a case and bought this case...

Its a strong plastic case that looks cool ...with another thick rubber case around that. For the past week I have dropped it, thrown it at a wall... And even thru my iPhone out the window of a car while driving to prove that my case is a beast .... It does cost 50 bucks but its worth it... Anyone one recommend a certain case ?

First of all, youre mental for doing all that to your beloved iPhone. 2nd of all, that case is hideous! But, you are an iPhone owner so I have to cut you some slack. Is that an Otterbox case?

This guide will teach you how to unlock your iPhone 3G/3GS running 3.0 firmware using ultrasn0w.

  • Step 1
I strongly recommend you backup your iPhone via iTunes BEFORE you begin this guide.

  • Step 2

Upgraded your iphone 3G/3GS to 3.0 firmware via iTunes, jailbreak the iphone using redsn0w, install cydia or icy.

  • Step 3

After your iPhone is jailbroken and installled either cydia or icy, run cydia or icy, add the repo repo666.ultrasn0w.com to cydia or icy. Search for “ultrasn0w” and install it. Reboot your iPhone. Your iPhone is unlocked and you are done.
