I have recently been experiencing some issues with my iPhone.
It has been automatically turning off my Show My Caller ID; resulting in me not being able to make any outgoing calls. This has been really frustrating.
I need to turn on my Location Settings (which I prefer to leave it off as it consumes more battery juice and I really dont need it as much - I can live with turning it on only when I need it, like using Maps). When I turn on my Location Settings the Show My Caller ID will then be turned on, hence allowing me to make outgoing calls.
This is an issue as unless I subscribe to the Block my caller ID service with my cellular network, I am not able to access the Show My Caller ID function (its greyed out).
I am with SingTel in Singapore.
Anyone with similar experiences?

I have a Iphone 3G and for a month now i have trouble using the Google Maps, the deal is that my phone cannot find my position exactly. when it triangulates your position, the blue dot starts pulsing meaning it has an accurate fix on your position, well thats not pulsing anymore. when i first got it everything worked fine, not all of a sudden when i try to find my position its in a 1 mile radius, but never finds my exact position(blue dot does not pulse) i tried restoring, i tried restoring to an older version, the newest version didnt help, i restored it as a new phone, and still nothing. i even bought a gps app from app store and it cant connect to satelites. any one can help with this problem???

If no change after restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhones backup with no GPS fix under a clear sky, more than likely your iPhone has a hardware failure in regards to the GPS receiver.

Im having the exact same problem on my 3G sunce updating to 3.1.3.
GPS always worked fine for me now. previously, but now it almost can never get an exact fix on me no matter how long I stand outside in a clear view of the sky. Two restores and numerous reboots later, and it still can rarely ever get a fix on me, and even when it does it never maintains a fix longer than 15-20 minutes.
Dont know what happened on 3.1.3, but GPS is effectively useless for me now. Apple Store says 3G no longer under warranty. Will cost $100 to fix hardware IF that is the problem. With a brand new one only $199, they clearly just want me to buy a new phone, but I want to wait for the new model later this summer. Frustrating!

i have an iphone 3g with 3.1.2 os. i had jsut dropped it today and and it will say no service frequently and other times it will have full bars. I have always hard service in the area I have lived in. I had tried restoring the network settings , restarting the ipod, and ejecting the sim card and re inersting it. my only theory is that the sim card tray is loose. Any suggestions as to what is wrong with it. I do not have warrinty on this phone any longer.
