iMessage not sync with my phone number iPhone

Go to settings, messages, and add your phone number.

I'm also having the same problem. Both me and the recipient are using iOS5 (me on iPhone 4s and the recipient on 3GS). When she replies to me it comes through on her contact but when I send message to her it shows my email address instead of my contact name. I have checked the settings and in messages iMessage is activated and under the "Receive at" tab it has both my phone number and my email address (email address is marked in bold but my phone number is grey). Caller ID is ticked against my phone number. Any help would be appreciated.

yeah same issue, I got the iphone 4s...I can't even add my phone number to "receive at"...***

I tried restoring to default...didn't help

I found a resolution for mine. The contact information in the recipients phone did not have my recieve at email address. Once I added this is automatically added the messages from my email to the messages via text and going forward its all gone to the one contact.

If you go into the settings and then into messages, youll see a sub menu that reads Receive At, go into this and log out of your apple id then log back in, the email address should dissapear leaving just the phone number.

Worked for my families iPhones.
