I had switched iMessage off and when I try to switch it back on again it looks for a password for your Apple ID - however, this Apple ID is not the current one but a previous one - how do you go about changing it ?

Settings > Messages > Receive At: > Tap the wrong ID, Sign out and sign in with correct one.

I dont have a 'Receive at' option under the messages section - all I have is

iMessage

MMS Messaging

Show Subject Field

Character Count

iMessage needs to be turned on to see these options. Give it the password it wants for the incorrect account, then do the above.
