I recently downloaded the newest version of itunes 9 and since then every time I try to sync with my iPhone 3G it goes through the whole process and seems to properly sync, but it gives me an error message: “IE Sync Client has encountered a problem and needs to close”. I have tried pressing both the Debug button and the Cancel button but get the same results. Though the sync seems to work, my hard drive continues to run indefinitely and my computer responds very slowly or not at all. I typically have to reboot to get it back to normal. I have tried removing iTunes, disabling my Norton antivirus and firewall, downloading and reinstalling iTunes, but nothing changes. I also went into Outlook and unchecked the box for "Norton Antispam Outlook Plugin" in the COM Add-Ins box under Tools/Options/Other/Advanced Options. Can anyone help me?
