I have IOS for my phone and everytime I plug my Iphone 4 in it freezes itunes. phone itself works just fine but when i plug it into computer it freezes itunes every single time. You would think Apple would have resolved this issue by now.

So I have the Iphone 4 with the new IOS 5.1. Ever since I downloaded the operating system to my phone, Itunes crashes when I plug my phone into my computer. the itunes app on my phone works fine, but is frustrating because I have many movies and music stored on my computer that I cannot get to because of this freezing issue. Before I had updated to the most recent IOS it worked just fine. you would think that apple would have fixed this issue by now because I am not the only one with this problem. I seriously need help with this.

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.

 

If you have gone through ALL the above steps and are still having problems, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation.
