I dropped top part of my phone into cup of melted slushy. screen went black all day I put it in rice and about 6 hours later my phone was working and all it's functions. But 2 hours after it started working I couldn't unlock my screen iPhone 4S

I really need help with this!!! Water damage isn't covered and I just need to know what I can do to fix this. Will I have to reset it???

There's really not much you can do if you've tried the basic troubleshooting steps (restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new) and they fail to remedy your problem.  Water and electronics don't mix.

 

Bring your phone into Apple and for $199 they will exchange your phone (unless you've already purchased AppleCare +, then  you'll only pay $49).

I restored it, but I still can't slide to unlock the screen.  This is absolutely frustrating, because it was working last night, and then all of a sudden didn't work at all.

I refer you to the previous reply.  Frustration is best avoided by not insertiing your phone into a slushy.
