I deleted my text messages from my iphone 4s by accident. How i retrieve them through itunes

If you had these messages on your phone when you last synced and haven't synced your phone again since losing them, the messages will be contained in the backup created when you synced (unless you are backing up your phone to iCloud).  If you restore your phone to this backup it will return your messages to your phone.  (If you have already syned again since losing them then you have already overwritten your earlier backup and your messages are lost.)  Restoring to a backup will revert all data and settings you your phone to those contained in the backup, not just messages.  If you have more recent data on your phone that you want to save you must do this before restoring it from backup.  If you want to restore from backup, do the following:

 

Without connecting your phone, open iTunes on your computer and go to Preferences.  On the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically".Connect your phone to your computer, right-click on the name of your phone when it appears in iTunes on the left sidebar and select Restore from Backup, choose your most recent backup to restore from.When complete, you can go back to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and re-enable automatic syncing.
