How we turn off Skype beeping sound iPhone 3G

Is it possible to turn off Skype beeping sound whenever a message is being sent over? It gets quite annoying to keep hearing the beeping sound whenever I enter a message to send. I don't mind hearing the beep if I receive a message though.

Not sure, but experiment with the settings in Settings>Skype>Notifications.

I tried that and it doesn't work.. I turned the sound 'off' but I still hear the beep.

Then you probably can't. I have the Skype app too and there don't appear to be any other settings (but don't really use it so I can't tell your from experience).
