I like many, travel and live in many countries. I live in China and the USA. I bought an unlocked iphone 4s in Singapore (the country doesn't allow locked phones)...I slip in various sim cards for the countries I'm in not just to save my money but for the local people who call me. I dropped my phone in China and broke the screen so went to Apple in Shanghai to have it fixed. "No we can't because it was not bought in China." I took it to the Chestnut Street store in San Francisco.."No we can't fix it wasn't bought in the USA..it is a different system etc etc" Apparently doesn't fix screens they just give you a new phone.

I bought from what I thought was a seamless international company where service would be world wide..no such system. Most companies who make any products would seek the same service no matter where you are. Apple needs to do something about this.

Do what? The iPhone has NEVER had an International Warranty...NEVER. It is YOUR responsibility to familiarize yourself with the warranty terms/conditions of products you purchase.

As wjosten points out, the warranty is not, and has never been International. If you bought it in Singapore, you will have to take it back to Singapore for service or pay a 3rd party repair shop to fix it.
