help unlock iphone 4

I bought it from cowboom last month and prepair to unlock it from att.

When I called ATT for unlocking, the rep told me they couldn't locate the history of the cell by IMEI in their system.

That is strange, since before unlocking it can only be used in ATT service. So last user who brought it to cowboom should either in prepaid or 2-year contract way, both of them will leave the history in ATT system.

Now it becomes a ghost cell, which couldn't be proved not a stolen or lost. I want to check its history, could someone know how to do this? Thanks

PS: I though all the ATT model cell will be in the ATT system, who can wipe the history "absolutely clean" words by ATT reps?

You have to be a current customer of AT&T and have either completed your contract, paid the early termination fee, or purchased a no commitment phone.

No one here can help you. If you are not a current AT&T customer and/or AT&T says the phone is not eligible for unlocking, you're out of luck.
