I can't hear any sound or f/x when playing games on my Iphone.  I have sound playing videos or music.  I don't hear any tones for mail,text, email notifications but I hear them when I go and test them.

Do you have the mute switch engaged? It's the little slider above the volume buttons.

You must turn on the button on the side.
