Hello,
I have the Gmail app but it's not working properly. So, I want to fully delete it then reinstall it. I tried this last night by holding my finger on the app until it jiggled then pushed the "x" in the corner. I then restarted my phone, when to the app store and installed the app again, but it still signed me in automatically as if I didn't delete it. So, how do I fully delete it? Thanks!
uninstall it again and reset the phone http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430
Also make sure you "read" the message that comes up when deleteing an app. It may prompt you to delete the info off the phone or keep it. you want to delete it.
That is what I did last time. But I'll try again. So the message that comes up when I go to delete says "Deleting this will delete the data." So I click 'delete.' I powered off. Waited. Powered back on. Went to App Store, searched 'Gmail," clicked 'install,' and it still signs me in automatically as if I never deleted it.
after downloading the app, go to Settings > then go to the bottom of the settings and see if you have that app available for settings and see if you can sign out of it
No, there is no option there to sign out. I can sign out if I go into the app though since it's email.
