Factory unlock iPhone 4

I have an iPhone 4 16GB, it is one of the older iphone 4's I think as I was told by someone. It is running version 5.1.1, and firmware 4.12.01. I am wondering if I can get it factory unlocked, so I can use it on other carriers since I do not have AT&T.

You will need to contact AT&T (by phone unless you have an account with them) and see if you are eligible for an unlock.
