Hi, I'm new so sorry if this has been an issue before. But I have a new iPhone 4 with OS4.1, and it gets very poor wifi range. My friend also has an iPhone 4 and right next to each other, her phone will pick up networks that mine won't. My phone picks up my home wifi which is located in my parents bedroom, but if I am in the living room i get NO wifi signal at all. Even tho my laptop has full signal, and my aunt's iphone has full signal with our home wifi sitting even farther from the router than I am. I don't understand what is wrong with my phone. My phone also doesn't show a pop up whenever i am in range of a wifi hotspot. (Which is pretty much never unless i'm within 15 feet of the router!) And the router is a "N" router (my phone won't pick up "B" or "G"). My brothers blackberry picks up the wifi from across the house! What could be wrong?

Shouldn't be that difficult to come to a logical conclusion about especially when other iPhones don't have the same problem at the same location side by side. More than likely your iPhone has a hardware problem with the wireless card or something else.Standard troubleshooting steps in order are:Power your iPhone off and on.An iPhone reset.Restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup.Restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup.If no change after the last step, more than likely your iPhone has a hardware problem, and the iPhone includes a one year warranty.

I've done all that, I've reset network settings and everything else I can think of. I guess I'll have to have it sent off and replaced. I really hoped it wouldn't come to that. Do you know if AT&T will give me a loaner phone til the new (or my fixed) iPhone comes in?
