Why is it when I try to download free apps from the app store it's prompting me to access my credit card. And it was not doing that at first? And even when I try to enter my credit card information it keeps saying my security code is invalid and I know it's correct?

Contact the credit card issuer and verify that your name and billing information match EXACTLY with what's on your iTunes account.  If there's any discrepency you'll have to update the information inside iTunes; mismatches between the CC info and your iTunes account is what causes the security code problem.
