Device Driver Software iPhone 3G

Well ever since a few days ago, I accidently unplugged the USB going into the back of my computer that was being used with my dock. When I did that, if this information is needed, there was no iPhone in the deck at that present time. Now whenever I put my phone inside, it will download/install the device driver software. EACH AND EVERY time that I connect after disconnecting, it will do the same thing.
Im beginning to get annoyed and ****** off to be blunt.
Is there any way I can stop it from having to download and install it each time?
I dont even see why it would have begun to do this in the first place.. any help is appreciated.
