Hi all. My iphone stopped working today
I went into settings and chose to delete all data and media and let it do its thing for about an hour.
Came back to it and its just on the apple logo screen and nothing works.
iTunes opens but will not show the phone when its plugged in. I hold down the power button and home for a bit till the apple logo comes back and then nothing happens.
Have I totally broke it?

Try to force it into recovery mode. Disconnect the USB cable from the phone (but not your computer).
Turn off the phone if you can. Hold down the home button while plugging in the USB cable.
