Deleted ringtones in iTunes still on phone after sync iPhone

Import it back to your library, then remove it from the phone by unchecking it in the Tones folder of your iTunes library on your computer and sync your phone.

Tried it, there's no entry of it anywhere in iTunes but it's still on the phone

Did you try adding the ringtone Back to your library then deselect it and sync as I suggested?

Yes, sorry that's what I meant. After deleting it, I restored it to the library and unchecked it, then synced. Still there. I'm guessing it's an iOS bug. Any other possible fixes I can try before resorting to just waiting for hte next patch?
