Thanks for your input.  I have already tried to contact the developer, but have not yet received a reply.  I realize that Apple is not the developer,but trying to get information from Apple about the developer has not been easy.

Apple can only give you what the developer gave them and if they gave a bad link on their itunes store page then you should report that to apple as being bad. Apple has thousands of developers and can't physically check each and every one of them.

With 500,000 apps it's a little hard for Apple to keep track of them all.
