Clearing iPhone mail contact history 3G

When I have written emails from the mail program and I have started typing a contact name, a series of names automatically come up that I have sent emails to previously. I misspelled an email address one time and the mail was obviously rejected for an incorrect address. Unfortunately, every time I now begin typing the correct name in the To field, the incorrect (misspelled) name also comes up as a choice. Is there any way to clear the names out that automatically come up from past history. I do like that it has the history, but I want to get rid of the incorrect address that is there. Thanks.
