Changing SMS Alert Behavior iPhone

Reply Topic I want to ditch my pager and use SMS alerts sent to my iPhone from my answering service. However, the incoming SMS alerts are 1) too soft, 2) too brief, and 3) only repeat once. I am afraid this will not be sufficiently loud enough to wake me up from a good sleep.
Are there any non-jailbreak options to make the alerts more annoying to ensure I will respond to messages at night?
