I bought iphone 4s from Starhub singapore. But after using for 3 months the phone was stolen.Somehow I was able to get that phone back. But now whenever I try to put my sim in it, it esays the Sim card is not supported. First i used to receive " No Service" message. i was able to access a few applications. Then i tried restoring it from old backup. But then it starts setting up the iphone and gets stuck at the SIM card activation coz it gives error message that the sim card is not supported. Now it doesnt go beyond this. How to get rid of this error?
The phone was hacked to unlock when you bought it. At some point after it was stolen, it was updated or restored, re-locking it to its original carrer. The only thing you can do is enquire with the carrier it's locked to if they will officially unlock it.
Thanks for the reply. I got tht phone from Starhub and now when i went to them they tried with some other SIM card and its still the same. They say the issue is not with the carrier but with the instrument.
