im studying in Australia,last week i bought a Iphone 3G from telstra,and they said that they completely unlock Iphone.after that,i sent iphone to my friend in vietnam,but he could not activate or use the sim in vietnam. please give me some advices,thank you

Most telcos that are willing to unlock the phone either charge a higher price for the phone or charge an additional unlock fee. I believe in Australia, you have to pay an additional fee to have the phone unlocked.

yes,ive already paid 120$ for unlock my iphone...but when i sent to my friend,the iphone didnt accept sim card or activate
