Hi all,
I managed to deleted all the text messages between my partner and I accidently when I had to get my faulty iPhone 4 replaced. Unfortunately they are not in my most recent backups either which is very strange (only the history pre-January 2012), and I'm embarrassingly devastated by this. I have restored it to every back up I have and they are not there... They are a mix of iMessages and normal text messages.
Is there any way I copy the conversation from my boyfriends iPhone/back-up? (I promise this is not snooping or anything untoward, I have his full permission
) Or any other ideas? I would be most grateful!
You can forward parts of a conversation by opening it, tap Edit (top right), tap all parts of the conversation you want to forward, tap Forward at the bottom. You can also try to extract messages from a backup with 3rd party software such as iPhone Backup Extractor (you won't, however, be able to sync these back to your phone).
