I just acquired a used iPhone 2G. It has been jailbroken and unlocked, but I am not using it as a phone right now. It has been restored and registered. It is connected to wifi and safari and email works fine.
When selecting an App to download from the App Store (I've tried a couple), after pressing the green install button, the button turns into a smaller green rectangle. Press again and it turns into a blue rectangle, and nothing happens.
What's the solution?

I have the 1st generation iPhone. I uninstalled an app and tried to reinstall it and I came across the same problem. I click on the "FREE" button, it turns into a "cut off rectangular" green button with only "NSTAL..." showing instead of "INSTALL". I click on that button and it turns blue with no writing inside and is also a "cut off retangular" button. I searched the web and some sites say that the app store is no longer catering to 1st generation iPods and iPhones. I too would like to know if there is a solution to this. BTW...my phone is not jail broken.
