So many of the forum posts are questions and complaints, but I just thought Id take a moment to compliment and thank Apple, their stores and Geniuses.
Yesterday I noticed my iPhones mute switch had broken off (no idea how that happened - I am not that hard on my phone) so I popped into the Apple store unannounced today. I didnt have an appointment but I got lucky and was able to see a Genius right away. I showed him the broken switch and he confirmed theyve seen this problem before with a few other iPhones. Mine still had 2 months left on the warranty so he replaced it for me on the spot. Switching the phone service to the new device was very quick and he showed me how to initiate the data wipe on the old phone. I was out of there in less than 10 minutes altogether. I went home and was able to restore everything from yesterdays backup. I now have a brand spanking new happy phone. Thanks, Apple!!!
