Brand new iPhone 4s has scratch on screen

Hi,

I wonder if someone can provide me with a bit of guidance where I stand on this one.... basically, brand new iPhone, unpacked it today and noticed the screen has a scratch on it. I thought it was just a mark, but no its a scratch you can feel it with your nail.

Now, from what I understand Apple dont cover scratched screens as its classed as cosmetic damage, but this is a brand new iPhone that was already scratched.

Am I likely to get a replacement, or the screen repaired for free?

Take it to an Apple store and see what they say

No-one here can advise you as frankly we can't see it and have no background

to how and when you purchased the iPhone

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, as I say the phone is new (opened it this evening).

If im being honest had I had the phone for some time and got a wee scratch like this I wouldnt be bothered, but the fact its brand new and these are not cheap.
