I bought the new iPhone 4S and sucessfully activated it as well as moved all of my app, music etc... to it. Do I now need to remove the SIM card from teh old phone and put it in teh new one?

If the old SIM Card has the same telephone # as the new SIM Card in your new iPhone 4S, then no leave everything as is, because the old SIM Card should be deactivated.
