So about a month ago, I take my iPhone 4S to the Apple Store because the battery is dying in like 4 hours and it is getting real hot. They replace it with a new iPhone 4S. Today I take that phone to the Apple Store because it is getting hot and battery dies in like 4 hours. They give me a new one to replace. 2 hours later my new iPhone is hot and dying. I do not get it. It can't be the phone (it is brand new) it can't be the Apps there is only one on there (FB). I think I may have a corrupt iTunes Account??? Anybody else seen this?
It's probably the FB app updating in background. Could also be mail if you have a Microsoft Exchange account. Or iCloud if you sync with iCloud.
To check the FB app go to Settings/Notifications and turn off Notifications to FB, then double-press the HOME button, scroll the ribbon on the bottom to the FB app. Hold it until it wriggles, then tap the "-" on it.

The phone is 3 hours old. Brand new. No apps on it other than FB and it has notifications off. IOS 5.1.1
If I can't get a new phone to work for more than 1 day with how many ever apps I want on it then there is a problem. Before going to the 5.1.1 I had no issues with the previous 2 phones before. Apple makes sure it is at 5.1.1 before they let you take it. Thanks for the reply though. I am charging the batter to full. Not connecting to iTunes or associating that account and seeing what happens.

I'm afraid you can't blame 5.1.1. I have had it from the first day, and along with millions of others do not have a problem.
