Audio notification of gmail email iPhone

You could use ifttt.com to set up an action that would send you a text if you got an email in your Gmail account from a specific address.

Thanks - that's a very interesting looking service. I don't yet understand how it would access my gmail, but I need to investigate.

I went to the Palo Alto Apple Store, and some joint Googling unearthed the iPriorityMail app, which appears to do exactly what I want ... or will, once I figure out the confusing UI/setup.

Update: It appears that both IFTTT and iPriorityMail require my gmail password, which I'm uncomfortable providing to some unknown third-party.

So my original request is still open. I can see a number of ways in which this could work - filtering within the Mail app, filtering and forwarding to SMS from gmail - but I don't yet have a solution in place. Strange, since this seems like a feature many people would want.
