Most of the US and European careers have started unlocking the iPhones but none of the major canadian careers (Bell Telus) unlock iPhones? The CSRs say that apple doesn't allow them to unlock the locked phones. Any reason?

The decision to unlock is not Apple's. It is always the decision of the cellular provider.

I am sure apple played a role in making AT&T start unlocking.

Also, there should be some reason behind the fact that only one

Privider in Canada unlocks!!!
