3 questions involving sprint iphone bill and data

Hi guys, I'm thinking about getting a sprint iphone. I am currently on the $69.99 (cheapest) family plan right now. My mother has a flip phone, and I have a LG Rumor Touch. I want to get an iphone because it has a better camera than what I currently have, and my digital camera broke down again. It is also easier to carry, such and such...Here's my questions:

 

 

1. If I am on the family plan, and I get a sprint iphone, do I have to switch to an iphone plan, or can I keep my current plan? I just want the add-on, Sprint Pro-Pack (unlimited data).

3. Does taking pictures use up data or just memory? I heard that playing downloaded games does not.
