1st gen.iphone sync to new mac SMS games

Hi.. can anyone tell me if i would also lose all my SMS ,podcasts ,pictures ,and settings if i backed up the iphone to new mac ? i have backed up iphone to the mac and i made sure its on the list , dont really care about the music too much cos i could get it back form the mac ,but the other stuff makes me worried ..can anyone tell me what would my phone look like after the new backup ? thanks

Soft of - iTunes media content (music, videos, podcasts, etc.) are erased. That includes photos. Settings, SMS, Camera Roll pics are not erased.
