I can take videos and the sound is fine, but when I try and take a video of myself to send it to my family the sound is so low you can't hear it. Why is this?

 

Also on my 2nd Verizon iPhone 4s, the 3G continues to change to "O" even in places where I know there are cell towers-I'm thinking of switching back to my iPhone 4.

 

Any ideas on what's causing the sound not to be heard? Today I took video of the ocean and it was fine, tried to take a video of myself to send and there is no volumne. I have no case or anything on it.

You should contact Verizon and Apple Store, that can't be right, the sound should work perfect.
