Has anyone else got this issue?
This morning, my iPhone said "No Service", all the way into work.
There where no issues with Vodafone's network, and there are no areas where there is no coverage, on my way to/from work and home.
I tried turning Airplane mode on then off again, to force the iPhone to search for a signal, that didn't work (usually does). I had to turn the iPhone off, then back on again, and there it was - a full 3G signal (5 bars).
This happens a lot - the iPhone either falsly reports that I have 2G or 3G, when in fact I've only got regular GSM, or it reports "No Signal", and will go all day without aquiring a signal, even in known good areas, unless I turn airplane mode on then off, or turn the whole iPhone on then off.
Bug in the iOS??
No bug. Otherwise millions of people would be having the same problem.
Have you gone to your carrier and obtained a replacement SIM card? Have you reset network settings? Have you taken any of the basic troubleshooting steps recommended in the user guide?
