No loaner phone available iPhone 4S

My 4S is 3 months old and the microphone that has always been problematic is now totally "toast" and not working at all.  The Telus store where we bought the iphone has computer problems and can't give us a loaner at a cost to us of $150.00.  They also said they can't order us one a new iphone which is going to come from Ontario until after we get the loaner...which they are trying to straighten out.  I bought the extended warranty and I now have a phone I can call or receive calls on...that is until they fix their computer problem.   Any suggestions would be helpful or is this normal for Telus with Apple products?  Thanks.
